About The Udaya Study

Understanding the lives of adolescents and young adults in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh (UDAYA) is a first-of-its-kind study on adolescents in India. UDAYA establishes the levels, patterns and trends in the situation of younger (10-14) and older (15-19) adolescents in two Indian states, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh.

The Population Council has conducted UDAYA, with financial support from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and the David and Lucile Packard Foundation.
